| General: |
- Ads that lead to websites where the 'Back' button
is disabled and as a result users cannot come back
to The Graphic Arts Exchange will not be accepted.
- We require that all white background ads come with
a border.
- Mouse-over interaction with an ad can only provoke
ad interaction within the current open browser window
and cannot link a user to a new Web site. Within a
pop-up or pop-under ad window a mouse-over can link
users to a new Web site within the same window that
the pop-up/under appears in.
- All versions of creative that will be served via
a third party must be provided for testing and approval
prior to appearing on the site.

| File Sizes: |
- Unless otherwise noted, the maximum file size of
any advertisement displayed on the pages of the Graphic
Arts Exchange is 25kb.
|
| File Types Allowed: |
- Generally speaking, for graphical advertisements
only gif & jpeg (jpg) files will be accepted for publication
within the pages of the Graphic Arts Exchange. (See
'Rich Media' below for exceptions)
|
| Sound: |
- For all ad types and creative, only sound that is
user-initiated will be accepted.
- All creative must include a prominently visible
on/off switch for sound.
|
| Textual Advertisements: |
- Header/Company Name - 1 line of text, max 80 characters.
- Body - 8 lines of text, max 80 characters per line
(Including spaces), plus up to 2 empty lines for paragraph
breaks.
- Footer - 1 line of text, must include URL/link,
max 80 characters.
|
| Rich Media: |
- While the majority of advertising on the Graphic
Arts Exchange is in a standard graphical format, we
do accept some forms of rich media advertising, namely
Macromedia Flash, for some of the pages within the
Graphic Arts Exchange (Due to technical and system
issues, not all pages can carry rich media ads). Due
to the complexity of this type of advertising, the
use of rich media within an ad carries both it's own
set of specifications and
an additional premium of 25% for the total amount
of the desired space. (Please note that
we reserve the right to accept or decline rich media
ads at our sole discretion at any time for any position.)
- Macromedia Flash® Rich Media Ads:
- Specifications & Restrictions:
- Initial load can not exceed 25kb. After
initial load, on user's command 125kb is allowed
to stream for no longer than 30 seconds per
command.
- Must be static until the user initiates
an action, at which point animation is allowed
for up to 30 seconds per command with no repeats.
- Sound must be in an off state until initiated
by the user.
- Streaming may include up to 4 movies.
- All Flash Ads must be served locally.
- Must be submitted with a back-up GIF or
JPEG image that meets the standard ad specifications.
- Must be submitted with the entire FLA file
set (IE: An FLA file for each movie loaded.
Be sure to check with your developer as
to the availability and any additional charges
that they may require in order to provide
you with the FLA file).
- Ads must be published to display in Flash

- Other Types Of Rich Media:
- Generally speaking, at this point in time, Macromedia
Flash based advertisements are the only type of
rich media advertising that the Graphic Arts Exchange
is accepting. If you are interested in any other
type of Rich Media Advertising, please feel free

happy to discuss the technology in question with
you, and may be able to implement it in some fashion.

| Pop-Up & Pop-Under Ads: |
- At this point in time the Graphic Arts Exchange
is not accepting advertising in the form of pop-up
or pop-under ads. For more information on when and
if we will be offering these products, please feel

| Lead Times: |
- For gif and standard third party creatives, 3 business
days.
- For pop-ups, pop-unders, overlays, interstitials,
Flash, other rich media ads and any ads with sound,
